Eastern Shore Coalition Against Domestic Violence

ESCADV is governed by a Volunteer Board of Directors that oversees the legal, financial, organizational, employment and planning obligations of the agency. The Board consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer and up to eleven additional members. ESCADV’s board is a working board, with each member serving on at least one committee. Committees include Community Outreach, Organizational, Program and Policy, Fund Development and Financial.

The mission of ESCADV is to provide support and empowerment to victims of domestic and sexual abuse and to provide programs that increase awareness and prevention in the community.

Every person is empowered with the right to be safe and free from domestic and sexual abuse.

HELP FIGHT AGAINST ABUSE

SHELTER

The Eastern Shore Coalition Against Domestic Violence provides emergency shelter for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Our shelter is housed at Hope Harbor, the campus that is also home to our admin and advocacy office, as well as a workforce/affordable housing apartment complex.

OUTREACH

The Eastern Shore Coalition Against Domestic Violence provides outreach and education programming to the community to create awareness of domestic and sexual violence. ESCADV staff participates in community events including farmer's markets, community days, and faith-based events by setting up displays with information and resources.

ADVOCACY

The Eastern Shore Coalition Against Domestic Violence provides advocacy for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Our staff includes client services advocates, bi-lingual domestic violence and sexual assault advocates and children's advocates. Advocacy services are available to all survivors, whether or not they choose to utilize ESCADV's shelter services.
